Home. Just do it right. Make it perfect and real. Because its everything. Though everything was never the deal.

Today we are following up on "It's a number game". There are 10 types of people. Those who get it and those who don't. A friend of mine keep saying to me that how do I know that there are 10 types of people. I tried to explain it to him over the phone, but failed miserably.

Then I realized that maybe I was not communicating properly so I sent him the following message "There are 1010 types of people". I am still waiting for his response and I know I won't get it.

Going back to numbers, I always struggled with the difference between ratios and percentages. In my mind they are one and the same. One is the what I call the "raw" relationship while the other one is expressed as a percentage of 100. So we change the base, we change the context.

The key learning here is that context is everything when it comes to numbers. Without it people are left to their own devices to bring context to those values. That is why we have the percentage symbol. To bring context to percentages, otherwise it will be a ratio that wasn't reduced to its minimum form.

Think base 2 now. There are 10 types of people. Those who get it and those who don't.

Maybe now he will talk to me again.
