Album review: The Darkness - Hot Cakes

I was getting ready to keep writing about numbers and while looking for inspiration for the subject I decided to play some music. I came across the latest album from "The Darkness". I have to say I like it.

The Darkness is a band I first discovered back in 2003 with their single "I Believe in a Thing Called Love". They had this mixture of glam rock but modernized to the millennium.

I got that album and did not like it. To the point that I even forgot about them. So when I saw that they had a new album I decided to listen to it. Pleasant surprise. They are still a glam rock band, hitting high notes and nice riffs but they are more mature in their sound.

The first album it seemed like they were playing glam rock just to differentiate themselves from other bands, this time it seems like the real deal.
